Tracing old friends or relatives in UK

This search is ideal where you already know the name of the person or married couple that you would like to find. As we can probably achieve this from our own in-house resources it is the cheapest and most convenient type of search. This service is offered on a "no success - no fee" basis and we do not ask for payment up front; the fee for a successful find being £50 sterling. We are able to search on a national basis, covering all of England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland.

Where the search is for a female who may have married there may be a small additional fee to cover the cost of searches in the marriage indexes to identify her current surname. In some instances it may be necessary to buy copies of certificates to confirm the correct details.

It is difficult to predict how long a search may take or indeed whether the person can be found at all. Much will depend on the type of information that you can supply, the actual names involved, and the timescale. In any event we will inform you by email if we do not think there is much likelyhood of success. Some name combinations are very common in UK and there may be hundreds of potential matches. Please note that we would normally make contact with the person being sought, unless you specifically request otherwise.

Please give as much information as possible, using the following headings as a guide:

• Surname & full forenames
• Name of husband/wife or partner
• Maiden name (if known)
• Last known address or area lived in
• Details of any other family members that you are aware of
• An estimate of the timescale
